Jet Konnect is a fresh entrant in the list of low cost carriers. It is a low cost version of India’s best full service private airline - Jet Airways. It was launched on 8 May 2009, and shares the same airline designation as Jet Airways. According to Jet Airways, the decision to launch another low-cost airline instead of expanding the existing one was taken to avoid the regulatory delays associated with moving excess aircraft and assets from Jet Airways to JetLite, which have separate operator codes. Jet Konnect provides affordable air travel at very low costs to the common man. The flights are 10 to 15 percent cheaper than Jet Airways or any scheduled airline.

While JetKonnect offers almost all the services provided by the parent airline, it does not offer meals or other refreshment to its passengers on board.
